When I started my online business, I juggled looking for the best digital marketing tools. Although ClickFunnels and GrooveFunnels are complete digital marketing solutions, it was hard to select the best among them.
In this GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels comparison, I will list down how they are different, what makes them unique and which one you should use.
So, let’s get started.
What is GrooveFunnels?
GrooveFunnels is a relatively new tool that is very popular in digital marketing. Many experts use it, from sales professionals to growth hackers, and enjoy its low pricing and wide array of tools.
Speaking of which, there are tools for literally everything from building sales funnels to setting up a successful email strategy, providing membership websites, or hosting videos and webinars.
There are wonders you can do with GrooveFunnels. You can build a website, different landing pages, and marketing campaigns and find it easy to connect everything with the products and services you sell online.
All of that is done through GroovePages, the landing pages builder. The best thing is that designing the landing pages and websites comes with a drag and drop website builder, eliminating the need for coding and making it simple to design the elements of each page, even for beginners.
Simply put, you can run your entire business with GrooveFunnels and manage different apps for different goals.
The collection of free and paid software applications is known as GrooveApps. The value proposition that GrooveFunnels has is that it is more than just a sales funnel builder and that it uses a freemium model with a lifetime offer during the launch of the software.

What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels is a popular tool that has been here for a while (since 2014), helping marketers create, organize, and launch their sales funnels with a variety of templates.
It takes the guesswork out of creating sales funnels that actually work and comes with a user-friendly interface that allows for complete automation and control.
The plug-and-play feature makes creating and editing content with ClickFunnels easy, which is how the program aligns with all types of digital marketing businesses. ClickFunnels is the brainchild of Russell Branson, who is known to be one of the greatest marketers ever.
It was also the first sales funnel builder introduced to the world, which is how it gained a major following in the marketing space. It has more than 150,000 paying customers each month.
Aside from the great sales funnel builder and landing page builder, ClickFunnels gives you plenty of tools that successfully convert leads into paying customers.
The list of features includes an affiliate management system, course and webinar hosting platforms, email marketing features, shopping cart, checkout system, and more.
ClickFunnels Vs GrooveFunnels – Similar Features
The GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels comparison is interesting because both of these tools are designed to build sales funnels, and they have quite a few similarities.
There are many differences in some key areas, but let’s first explore the similar features that GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels have.
1- Ease of use
The best thing about both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels is that they are both tools that are easy to use. You don’t have to be an expert programmer to design funnels and web pages, and coding is not required, either.
The drag and drop feature is simple even if you are a beginner, and it is created to boost your efficiency without hiring other people.
2- A collection of ready-made templates
Adding to the first point above, design gets even easier when you load a pre-made funnel template.
You don’t need to start with a blank screen as both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels have a wide range of built-in templates that you can apply to your landing pages and funnels.
Everything is customizable, though – you can change colors, replace images, and adjust everything to your brand.
3- Sales platform and shopping cart integration
Both tools come with built-in shopping cart features that take the guesswork out of the entire e-commerce setup phase. You will be able to sell your products online without using third-party software.
GrooveFunnels has GrooveSell, which is very impressive – a sales and affiliate management platform where you can receive payments for physical and digital products, as well as subscriptions and services.
You can also create checkout pages and integrate everything from one place.
4- Membership areas for online courses
Once you gather a solid user base, you will probably want to set up a membership portal for your online courses, digital products, or everything that requires special access. With GrooveFunnels, you can do that through the GrooveMember app and enjoy the CMS with plenty of customization options.
ClickFunnels also has a basic membership area that is not as flashy as the one found in GrooveFunnels but can be used if you want to create online courses.
5- A/B Testing
A funnel builder without an A/B testing tool is nothing – so both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels have it ready. These tools help you optimize your sales funnels and marketing campaigns and see which version of each page performs better.
6- Affiliate programs and management
The GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels comparison is definitely on the same level because of the programs’ affiliate management tools. There are dashboards where you can set up and manage new customers.
With ClickFunnels, you can manage your affiliates through Tipalti (a third-party platform), while with GrooveFunnels, the management is
. There is also the GrooveSell feature which is basically an entire affiliate management system for setting up commissions, tracking affiliates, supplying marketing materials, and more.
7- Email marketing platforms
Next on the list is email marketing – both of these tools have a CRM that lets you segment leads, create email campaigns, schedule follow-up emails, and a lot more.
ClickFunnels has a built-in feature called “follow-up funnels” for this task, while GrooveFunnels has everything inside the Lifetime Platinum plan.
8- Plenty of learning (and online communities)
There is plenty of learning to do with both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels. However, learning never stops, and even though the curve may be steep for absolute beginners, it will make you a master in the digital marketing world.
Plus, there are big online communities behind both of these brands, with plenty of people doing the same as you. You can connect with them on social media, learn from each other and share your experiences. So, don’t be discouraged when you are starting out and take things to step by step.
9- Customer Service & Support
Even though ClickFunnels had bad customer support before, right now, the situation has changed. There is direct phone assistance and dedicated support with ClickFunnels.
GrooveFunnels has a support app which is called GrooveDesk. It works very similarly to Zendesk through a ticketing system, and the team is always helpful.
GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels – Unique Features
In this part, you will explore the unique features that ClickFunnels and GrooveFunnels have. Keep in mind that you won’t find these features in both programs, and consider what works for you based on that.
1- Video Hosting – GrooveFunnels
Video hosting is something that GrooveFunnels has – and probably one of the reasons why video marketers choose it over ClickFunnels.
The platform has the solution GrooveVideo, which is just like having a built-in YouTube inside your sales funnel builder.
You can add tags and call-to-action text in each video, as well as perform A/B testing with in-depth analytics for each piece. The lack of this feature in ClickFunnels is definitely a drawback for the software.
2- FunnelFlix – ClickFunnels
FunnelFlix is what makes ClickFunnels better when it comes to education and learning. This feature is basically a great collection of courses and training, where big minds like Russell Brunson and other industry experts share their take on sales funnels, marketing, and many other topics. The feature is a great source of knowledge for everyone.
3- Calendar – GrooveFunnels
If you want to give your clients a chance to book appointments through your web pages, you can do that with GrooveFunnels but not with ClickFunnels. There is a calendar tool in GrooveFunnels that makes all of this easy, saving you the cost of going for a third-party option.
4- Helpdesk – GrooveFunnels
Another big point goes to GrooveFunnels for its helpdesk app called GrooveDesk, which is unlike the simple phone support system that ClickFunnels has. This app lets you create tickets with more information on your issues and get real-time assistance via chat.
5- SEO & Blog Feature – GrooveFunnels
Another big SEO point is fresh content, which is made possible through blog articles. While you can’t blog with ClickFunnels, you can use GrooveFunnels and its fully functional blog platform to write blogs, guides, reviews, articles, etc.
What Should Be Improved in ClickFunnels and GrooveFunnels?
Every software has its drawbacks and things that can be better. In the GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels battle, there are no general drawbacks that apply to both software solutions.
However, there are definitely some flaws that should be improved in each tool. Check them in the parts below.
Even though ClickFunnels is one of the most popular sales funnel builders out there, it is not 100% perfect. The platform has seen many drawbacks over the past years, and many of them have been addressed by the creators. However, there are still some flaws that you can expect, including the following:
- Restrictive pricing plans: The pricing plan of this software is restrictive and allows you to have a limited number of funnels, pages, and visitors. Many features are not available in the Basic plan and 14-day free trial and won’t be available until you upgrade.
- No video hosting: The lack of functionalities for video hosting requires you to use a third-party video platform (such as Vimeo or YouTube), which is not the case with other marketing tools.
- No calendar or helpdesk: The lack of calendar and help desk tools is another drawback that ClickFunnels users address.
- Weak SEO and no blog feature: If you are going for a platform that has solid search engine optimization (SEO) principles inside, you won’t find it with ClickFunnels. The pages you will create won’t be that much optimized and ready for high volumes of organic traffic.
Even with these drawbacks, ClickFunnels is still a great tool for building sales funnels. Just like with its previous flaws, it is expected for the creators to step up their game and fix all of the above mentioned in the next updates.
GrooveFunnels runs on superior technology compared to ClickFunnels, which is why you won’t see any drawbacks with restrictive pricing, lack of video hosting, and optimization issues. However, there are some other flaws that make this platform questionable for some users:
- Beta version: GrooveFunnels is still in its beta stage, and the launch has been delayed. The roadmap extends into 2021, and I’m still expecting an official version. Thankfully, the roadmap is adjusted according to the wishes of the community.
Note: The final launch of GrooveFunnels is scheduled for late August 2021. After this launch, GrooveFunnels will be a complete platform with all its features.
- Hard to keep track of all features: The fact that GrooveFunnels has more features than most of its rivals is great, but all of these features need to be addressed in detail with proper documentation and courses. Currently, it is a bit hard to keep track of everything that is implemented on a weekly and monthly basis.
GrooveFunnels Vs ClickFunnels Pricing
The GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels pricing works in a different way, but both of the tools have attractive pricing plans and payment structures. With GrooveFunnels, you can get a free plan at $0 with limited features, and with ClickFunnels, you can get a 14-day free trial to test the software and make sure it fits your needs.
ClickFunnels has three main pricing plans, including:
- ClickFunnels plan – $97/month (20 sales funnels, 100 landing pages, three domains, three payment gateways, one user)
- ClickFunnels Platinum plan – $297/month (unlimited funnels, unlimited landing pages, nine payment gateways, nine domains, three users)
- ClickFunnels Two Comma Club X plan – $2,497/month (unlimited funnels and pages, 27 domains, and many other perks)
As you can guess, the main difference between all of these plans is the number of landing pages, custom domain names, as well as other features that are available on a monthly basis.
The Platinum Plan comes with a discount if you choose to pay for six months or 12 months in advance. Therefore, the 6-month pack comes at $997, where you save around 44% (or $785), while the 12-month pack comes at $2,997, where you save 19% (around $567), but you also get extra training.
There is no free version for ClickFunnels, but you can get a free trial offer. The 14-day ClickFunnels free trial is good if you want to explore all of the features and be able to use the software for free for two weeks – but also get a lot of added bonuses and training. You will not be charged anything until the 14-day period expires.
Also, all of the ClickFunnels pricing plans include the following:
- Drag-and-drop page builder
- One-Click upsells & downsells
- Optin forms
- Order forms
- Membership area pages
- A/B testing feature
- Email list-builder tool
- Sticky cookie feature
- Sales analytics
- Pre-built funnel templates
- Share funnels feature
- Connect multiple domains
- Payment gateways integration
- Funnelflix program
These are all great features that make building a funnel easy and increasing your conversions possible with proven marketing tools that work.
GrooveFunnels Pricing Plans
GrooveFunnels operates on a freemium model, which means that it has a free plan that comes at $0. However, there are some limitations in that plan, which is why there is also the Groove Lifetime Platinum plan, where you get lifetime access to all GrooveFunnels features and apps.
So, here is the:
- GrooveFunnels Free Plan ($0)
- GrooveFunnels Lifetime Platinum Plan ($1,397, as a one-time payment)
The Lifetime Platinum plan can also be paid through monthly installments. It can be split into two installments of $799 each ($1,598 total) or five payments of $497 ($2,485 total). All three options give you lifetime access to all of the features and apps.
Previously, GrooveFunnels offered a free plan, a silver plan, a gold plan, and a lifetime platinum plan. Even the current price structure is expected to change in the future – a webinar hosted by the founder in March 2021 noted that the prices would be gradually increasing starting from September 2021.
GrooveFunnels Pricing Update
GrooveFunnels is now ending its Beta version along with the Lifetime Deal where you were able to get everything included in GrooveFunnels for just $1397 or Two installments of $699. The Lifetime Deal is available to purchase till Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Midnight PST.
From September 2021, GrooveFunnels is going to introduce its new pricing plan. I can definitely say that in the new pricing, you won’t be able to access GrooveFunnels for such low pricing anymore.
Moreover, the new Groove Platinum Plan will cost you $299 per month with
- All 17 Groove Apps for
- Lifetime VIP access GrooveKon™
- Lifetime VIP access GrooveKon™
- Affiliate Program 40%
So, do not wait for it and grab your GrooveFunnels Lifetime Deal for just $1397 forever. Here is what you will get in this pricing.
GrooveFunnels Vs ClickFunnels – Affiliate Program Comparison
There are many great things about the affiliate programs in both ClickFunnels and GrooveFunnels. Users love the enticing options and ways to earn by using and promoting both software solutions.
Below, I’m listing the differences in both affiliate programs, helping you understand this part of the GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels comparison.
GrooveFunnels Affiliate Program
The GrooveFunnels affiliate program is named Groove Affiliate Assist – it comes with the commission on recurring monthly payments. The payouts are weekly, and you can see that GrooveFunnels sells a lot – it is a high converting product where the referrals have the potential to earn up to 40% of the recurring commission.
One of the highlights of this affiliate program is the Groove Affiliate Assist, where you can get a free account as well as full commission, regardless of who promoted the upgrade. When the person upgrades, you will get the full sum of their upgrade.
In case another affiliate promotes the upgrade, you will still earn half of the commission, and the other person will receive the other half.
To illustrate it better, we’ll have an example. If you are a free member of GrooveFunnels, you get a 20% commission in full if you or GroovePages promoted an upgrade.
However, if another affiliate promoted it through content, you will get 10%, and that person will get 10%, too. This is one of the best features of the GrooveFunnels Affiliate Program.
All in all, the affiliate program that GrooveFunnels has is very interesting. You get to see all of the stats in a user-friendly dashboard that centralizes everything, including your performance. You can even shift between being an affiliate or a vendor – doing that is easy with a couple of clicks on the dashboard.
ClickFunnels Affiliate Program
ClickFunnels kind of invented the affiliate game for sales funnel software promotion – they even give out their affiliates a chance to win their dream cars.
Many people work full-time promoting the software and all of its great features. ClickFunnels claims that more than 180 of its affiliates have won their dream cars so far.
When comparing the GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels affiliate programs, you can see that both are attractive. The ClickFunnels affiliate dashboard lets you track everything – and the payouts are up to 40% in commission on all monthly recurring and front-end orders.
When someone signs up, the earnings are 20%. Based on performance, the affiliate partner can grow and scale-up, becoming eligible to win up to 30% and 40% of all referring purchases.
Moreover, ClickFunnels offers multiple products to promote including ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp which is known as one of the best learning opportunities for affiliate marketers.
If I have to choose one affiliate program in the GrooveFunnels vs ClickFunnels battle, it would probably be the Groove Affiliate Assist, only because of the additional (Tier 2) commissions that you get on your affiliate sign up sales.
GrooveFunnels Vs ClickFunnels – Membership Area Comparison
The last part of this GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels review is reserved for the membership area. As you probably know, if you are using software, membership areas are very important for growth. They provide regular content updates for the members and ways to organize, automate, and grow their business to the next level.
GrooveFunnels Membership Area
GrooveFunnels has a membership area that is intuitive and simple to set up. When you become a member, you can access content only after you purchase. Everything is easy to set up, and there is both gate and drip content with plenty of membership plans, including free access.
The only restriction is that only 100 members are allowed per one GrooveMember account. However, if you upgrade to a Lifetime account, you won’t get any limit on the number of members.
ClickFunnels Membership Area
The ClickFunnels membership website is popular but not that easy to create or maintain. There are not as many customization options as with GrooveFunnels. Most importantly, there is no proper customer experience integrated into it, especially with the registration and payment pages which feel a little off the entire process.
Also, this area lacks mobile responsiveness and some basic tools for interactions between members. In comparison, the GrooveFunnels membership area is better and a clear winner in this aspect.
If you are looking for great software to help you create and manage sales funnels, design websites, and landing pages, integrate your email marketing and purchases, and a lot more, both GrooveFunnels and ClickFunnels are tools you can rely on.
“Which one is better, though?” – you must be asking yourself.
From everything listed above, it seems like both platforms are good and have many similarities and differences. As such, they cater to different audiences and people with unique needs.
In that manner, GrooveFunnels is better if you want lifetime access to a program that comes with an eCommerce platform, video hosting tool, automated digital calendars, ticketing system, great page loading speed, and a blogging platform integrated into the solution.
GrooveFunnels is modern software that makes all of this possible, and the lifetime option is only the cherry on top of the cake.
Similarly, you should choose ClickFunnels if you want software that is backed by many experts, along with an extensive digital marketing archive where you can find content for everything.
There are amazing templates for every operation, a great sales pipeline, and tons of features that you can enjoy using. However, if you read the review above, you probably noticed that ClickFunnels is mostly used for creating and implementing sales funnels, without that many marketing features like its rival, GrooveFunnels.
I hope this review helped you choose the best marketing and sales funnel software for your needs.
